Marnock, Thomas

Thomas Marnock, of Derby, age 21, enlisted 1/5/64, and mustered in as a private in Co. F, 11th Vermont Infantry, 1/13/64. He was taken prisoner at Weldon Railroad 6/23/64, supposedly escaped 1/65, furloughed 3/25/65 for 30 days and never returned, according to the Revised Roster. Other sources indicate he took the oath of allegiance to the CSA, was released, and promptly deserted to Sherman's lines. In 1890, Marnock was living in South Albany, Vermont.
