THE CALEDONIAN: MAY 30, 1862

Killed at the Battle of Yorktown, April 16th, Lucius E. Briggs, private in Co. D, 3rd Vt. He was shot through the head while in the act of discharging his gun; he served faithfully to his country. Aged about 20.
