Obituary

AN HONORED CITIZEN.
W. Oakley Brigham Died at Bakersfield Yesterday.

Bakersfield, Nov. 4. – O. Oakley Brigham, a veteran of the Civil War, died at his home in that two o’clock yesterday afternoon. Mr. Brigham was in his 74th year had been ill several months. He was a member of Company K, 13th Vermont regiment, and a life-long resident of Bakersfield, where he had held all of the offices in the gift of his fellow townsmen. Mr. Brigham leaves a wife, who was Mrs. Rilla Worthing of Bakersfield, and several children by a former wife. The funeral services will be held from the Congregational church on Friday afternoon at two o’clock, the Rev. O.R. Houghton officiating.
