Joseph Brooks, late of Co. E., 2nd Vermont Volunteers died in the Soldiers Home Hospital Thursday last week of heart disease and dropsy. He was 63 years of age, and he was the 69th death at the Home. He was admitted at the Home from Fairlee Aug. 27th. The interment was in the Soldiers Home cemetery.
