WATERVILLE --- Ephraim Brown was mustered out on the 21st, inst., from severely swollen glands, a disease contracted in the army, with which he has been a long time sufferer. He was a member of Co. E., 3d Vt. Vols. The funeral took place on Sunday, Rev. Mr. Wheelock, Grand Chaplain officiating. He was buried with Grand Mason Honors by Warner Lodge, No. 50 F. &. A. M., assisted by the Henry Carpenter Post, of which he was a worthy member. He was a man highly esteemed by all who knew him. The family has the deep-felt sympathy of the community. He was 53 years old and leaves a wife, one son, and one daughter.
