Obituary

BRANDON

Edwin George Carr, for many years a resident of Brandon, died at his home on Franklin street Sunday morning after a long illness. He was born in Rochester 84 years ago, the son of Caleb and Elmira Kinsman Carr. He was a deacon of the Baptist church, being a member of that church for over 70 years. He was a veteran of the Civil War and an ardent member of C.J. Ormsbee Post, G.A.R. He has been for many years the post chaplain. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Frank Powers of Swampscott, Mass. The funeral was held at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Burial was in Pine Hill cemetery.
