Passed Away Suddenly Last Night in Town of Hoosick.

Edward Carroll, an inmate of the Soldiers' home who was out on a 30 days furlough, died suddenly last night in the town of Hoosick. He was about 65 years of age and served during the civil war in Co. G, 1st Vermont cavalry. A telephone message was received at the home this morning announcing Mr. Carroll's death and arrangements were made to bring the remains to this village. Mr. Carroll, who was a native of Ireland, is survived by one son, Charles, who conducts the restaurant on North street. He had been a resident of this village and North Bennington for a larger part of the time since the war. His wife died nearly 20 years ago.
