Henry Cross died at his home on Franklin Street Sunday, June, 11, at 7:15 p.m., after a brief illness with a complication of diseases, having been taken ill the Sunday previous.

He was born in Brandon, June 2, 1838, and had been a life long resident of the town. He was a Civil War veteran, having served in Co. G. . 12th Vt. Vols. was a member of C. J. Ormsbee Post, No. 18. G.A.R., and a member of the Congregational Mens Club.

The wife and, and one son, survive him. Funeral services were held at his late home Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock.
