Oct. 20 - Charles C. Colton, at Mobile, Ala., aged 36. Admitted to the Bar in 1859; enlisted as a private in the 8th Vt. Volunteers in 1862, was promoted to First lieutenant, and subsequently appointed Commissioners of Freedman's schools in Louisiana; after the war was district attorney and school superintendent of Wilcox Co., in Alabama, and was Judge of the county court at the time of his decease.
