-- Riley Deming, aged 56, a well known hotel man and manager of the Raleigh Inn near Memphis, Tenn., died recently in that city. He was a former Brattleborean, and married Miss Mary Kelsey, a cousin of the B. M. Chamberlin. He was a native of Bellows Falls, son of Horace, a long time prominent Chester and nephew of Riley Deming, his namesake, a well known hotel man. Among the houses he kept are the Eagle at Keene, the New Deming at Chicago, hotels at Descater (sic), and Peoria, Ill., and the winter resort, one of the best hotels in the south, at Raleigh Springs, Tenn., near Memphis.
