Obituary

The funeral of Robert Devine, who died in Brattleboro Wednesday, was held from St. Augustine's church yesterday, Rev. W. J. O'Sullivan officiating. The bearers were George Fitzgerald, Marshal G. Wood, Edward Fitzgerald and Jeremiah McCormick. Mr. Devine was a Civil war veteran and, with his brother, John Devine, also a veteran, entered the Soldiers' home at Bennington last November, going from this city, where they had lived many years. Both were unmarried. John Devine died in Bennington Feb. 21, at the age of 80 years. Robert Devine became affected mentally and had to be taken to Brattleboro where he died.
