Patrick Downey of Castleton died Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Fanny Allen Hospital, where he had been for about a week for treatment for heart trouble. He was 74 years of age, and was a veteran of the Civil War, serving in Company H., 7th Regiment, Vermont Volunteers.

The body was taken Sunday to Castleton, where the funeral and interment will be.
