Remarks: Alonzo Pierce served under the name of Alonzo Drake. His Death Certificate, which is on file at Norwich Town Hall, indicates he is buried in Franklin, CT but does not give the name of the cemetery. According to records on file at Franklin Town Hall, he is buried at Plains Cemetery. However, Plains Cemetery has no record of his burial and no grave marker was documented in the 1934 Hale Collection. Jane Hall Pierce, his wife, was originally buried at Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich. Their records indicate that she was "removed" to a cemetery in Franklin, CT at a later date. No date/location of cemetery in Franklin appears on her burial record. The Franklin Town Hall has no record of her burial in Franklin.
