Hiram B. Farmer, one of Island Pond's most respected citizens, and long time resident, died Thursday evening, Jan. 20, at the age of 77, after an illness of but a few days., being taken with a shock, leaving him unable to speak.

Funeral was held at his late residence, Sunday, January 23, Rev. A. A. Mandigo officiating. Burial was under Mason's honor, 60 attending in the cemetery. The Pallbearers were, J. W. Thurston, F. C. Mosher, C. E. Johnson. and T. C. Carr. The floral offerings were many and beautiful.
