Cabot Veteran Killed By Auto

Kelsey P. Freeman, aged 76, was killed in Cabot village Friday afternoon, having been struck by an automobile driven by W. H. Parry of Barre. Mr. Freeman and his wife were crossing the street and the former becoming confused at the approach of the car went directly in front of the machine. Death was due to concussion of the brain. Mr. Parry went to Montpelier and personally reported the accident at the office of the Secretary of State. His operator's license has been suspended as is customary in all fatal accidents.

Mr. Freeman was born in Walden but had spent the greater part of his life in Cabot, being engaged at one time in blacksmithing and also in farming. He was a veteran of the Civil War and a member of the Masonic fraternity.
