Obituary

Cadmus S. Gates, a Civil war veteran, member of Company K, 13th Vermont Volunteers, did Jan. 23 at his home in Swanton, aged 80 years. He had been in failing health for some time. He leaves no near relatives, his wife and only daughter, Mrs. Lester Green of Montpelier, being dead. He was a cousin of ex-Gov. Gates.
