Obituary
Eli Gilbert, a long time and much respected citizen of this place, died suddenly at Island Pond Friday morning, where he had gone after friends. Mr. Gilbert was a veteran of the Civil war. The funeral was held at Island Pond Monday morning, Fr. Cray from East Albany officiating and burial at that place.
