Obituary

In Memoriam, G. A. R.

The following resolutions were adopted at the last meeting of A. R. Hurlburt Post, No. 60, G. A. R.:

Whereas, By the death of Michael Green Co. F 10th Vermont Volunteers Post Hurlburt has lost a worthy comrade and the community an unselfish, brave patriot; therefore,

Resolved, That the sickle of death in thus decimating our ranks taking one by one away should admonish us to be ready for the reaper's call and that while awaiting that call that the closest fraternal ties should bind us together.

Resolved, That the post extends to the family of the departed comrade, their heartfelt sympathy, in this, the hour of their sore affliction.

Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be sent to the family and is furnished for publication to the St. Albans Messenger.

Signed in fraternity, charity and loyalty,

E. W. Bordo
H. C. Allen
J. A. Jarvis
