William Harrington Enlisted From Bennington in the Vermont Cavalry.
William Harrington died at the Vermont Soldiers' Home at an early hour Monday morning. He was born in White Creek, N.Y., Sept. 12, 1833, and was admitted to the Home Oct. 29, 1916.
He enlisted Oct. 5, 1861 from Bennington in Co. G, First Vermont Cavalry and was discharged May 1, 1862. He again enlisted in the same company Aug. 21, 1862, was transferred to the Veteran Reserve Corps Feb. 15, 1864 and was mustered out out July 8, 1865.
His wife was the sister of Hiram Hall, now at the home, who was a member of the same company. Hiram L. Hall, superintendant of the E. Z. Waist Co., is a nephew.
