Salmon W. Heath, a native of Corinth, Vt., and a resident of this village for the past 15 years, died at his home Tuesday morning, aged 83 years. He was a Civil War veteran, a member of Co. E., Second Vermont, and was in the battles of Bull Run, the Wilderness, and other engagements.

Mr. Heath was thrice married, his third wife, who was Mrs. Marietta Ober Carpenter, surviving him. The funeral service was held at the Methodist church Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. Joseph Hamilton officiating. Member of the Randall Post escorted the body to the cemetery.
