Harvey Hazleton, a highly respected resident passed away Friday afternoon after a lingering illness of several months. Mr. Hazleton was 76 years of age and a veteran of the Civil war. Until within a few months of his death he has been deeply interested in the affairs of his country. The funeral was held from the house Sunday at twelve o'clock. Rev. Joseph Brown of Manchester officiated. Interment was in the family lot at Winhall. Surviving are one son Byron with whom he had resided for several years and one daughter, Mrs. Charles Warner of Middletown, Conn., and six grandchildren.
