News & Citizen: MAY 12, 1897

Ben Hodges, brother of Wm. H. Hodges died Saturday, May1. He had been living with his brother, William, for several months, and nearly all the time had been in very feeble health. The funeral was held at the house Monday. May 3, Rev. Mr. Gilmore officiating.

Another old soldier gone to meet his reward.
