Obituary
George P. Holmes.
The remains of George P. Holmes, whose death occurred in this city Tuesday night, were taken last evening to Waterbury, accompanied by Mrs. Oliver Garrow. Mr. Holmes, who was 70 years of age and a veteran of the Civil War, died of chronic nephritis, having come to Burlington for treatment 13 days ago. He is survived by two sons. The funeral will be held at his late home at Waterbury this afternoon at two o'clock.
