Eber Johnson, aged 76, died Monday afternoon at his home on Hyde Street, after a long illness. He is survived by several children.

Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the Civil War, and a member of Stannard Post, G.A.R. He enlisted at Bolton Aug. 26, 1861, and re-enlisted on the 15th of December, 1863. He was discharged July 7, 1865, because of wounds, which resulted in the loss of an arm received while serving in Co. K, the Fifth Vermont.
