Obituary
EDWARD JOYCE DIES; CIVIL WAR VETERAN
SOUTH ROYALTON, Dec. 1. - Edward Joyce died at his home in this town Saturday at the advanced age of 88 years and nine months. He was the last survivor but one of the Civil War veterans in South Royalton. The sole survivor is Franklin Stoddard, 91.
Mr. Joyce's wife died about six years ago.
In his immediate family he is survived by one brother, Alec Joyce and by nephews and nieces in Sharon.
Mr. Joyce has been a resident of this town for 20 years and was unusually active, although somewhat feeble of late.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Joyce home in South Royalton, the Rev. V. H. Wachs officiating. Interment will be in the cemetery at North Pomfret.
