John Kennedy of Rutland, a veteran of the Civil war, and a well known resident of that city was found frozen to death Friday morning in a vacant lot a short distance from his home. He left home Thursday evening to attend a political meeting and that was the last seen of him. His body was discovered by a neighbor. He had been dead for several hours. Mr. Kennedy was 75 years old and had lived in Rutland for 50 years. He is survived by a wife and four children.
