William L. Kinsley

Source: Morrisville News and Citizen: September 22, 1901

Our community was horrified on learning of the death by his own hand, of our worthy townsman, Will L. Kinsley, which occurred early Tuesday morning of last week. He had been in poor health a long time, and this coupled with business troubles, and the recent loss of his wife, is thought to have produced af temporary fit of insanity.., during which the fatal deed was accomplished by cutting his throat. There is not the slightest indication that the self destruction was premeditated. The funeral was held Thursday from the Congregational Church, of which the deceased was a member, and of which he was clerk for many years. The church was filled with sorrowing relatives and friends and this mark of esteem, together with many beautiful floral tributes, went far to show the universal esteem in which the deceased was held. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. F. Goodheart, pastor of the church, and very impressive. Hazen Post N0. 74, G.A.R., of which deceased was a Past Commander, attended in a body. Mr. Kinsley leaves one son.
