Charles LaBatt.

Irwindale lost one of its most respected citizens when Charles LaBatt died at the Los Angeles hospital. This is the second time in four months that death has entered the LaBatt home, Mrs. Anna LaBatt having died early in the year.

Charles LaBatt was born in the state of Vermont seventy-four years ago. He came to California in about the year 1897, and moved from Rivera to Irwindale about six years ago. Mr. LaBatt had been married twice and five children mourn his death. they are C. e. LaBatt of Long Beach, F. Labatt of Seattle, Mrs. H. R. Green of Corona, Mrs. Ada Ellison of Long Beach, Elbert S. LaBatt of Orange avenue. Mr. LaBatt also leaves two stepdaughters, the children of Mrs. Anna Lamon Labatt, who are, Mrs.Hattie Berner, of Covina and Mrs. Labbt of Seattle. The funeral service was held at W. Q. Custer's undertaking parlors, Tuesday morning, the Rev. Harry White officiating. Interment was made at Oakdale cemetery.
