MAN DROWNED--Albert Lyon of Waterford was drowned at West Concord on the 24th inst. He, with three others were running logs in Moose River, when he was in some way knocked into the stream, and before assistance was rendered by the others, he was drowned.

Young Lyon was a member of the 17th Vermont regiment, and was with Grant from the Rapidan to to Richmond without sustaining a scratch.

He leaves no wife, but a mother who was dependant on him for support.
