FUNERAL FOR ERASTUS E. MANN
The funeral for the late Erastus E. Mann was held from his late home in Wolcott on Monday afternoon at 2 O'clock. Rev. E.W. Sturtevant officiated. Among those from out of town to attend the funeral were, Mrs. Vilas Brown and two children from Craftsbury, Victor Martin of Bakersfield, and Mr. & Mrs. Leon LaPlame, Mrs. George Ward, Mr. &. Mrs. C.M. Graves, and Mr. & Mrs. Carroll Taylor of Morrisville, Mrs. Frank Greaves of Walden, and Ralph Martin of Providence, R.I.
Had Mr. Martin lived until next April, he would have been 78 years old.
Mr. Mann was born in Wolcott, and had always lived there. He enlisted in the Civil War, but due to sickness, went only as far as Brattleboro, and had to return home. Mr. Mann was a retired farmer. He was very successful in business, and had held many town offices.
