Talma H. McAllister, aged nearly 74 years, died Saturday, January 8. His funeral was held from his late residence Tuesday, Rev. J. K. Fuller, of Barton, officiating. He is survived by his second wife. His first wife and one child died before he came to this town. Mr. McAllister was a member of the 9th Regt. Vt. Vols., and was subsequently transferred to the 5th regiment. He was a quiet and respected citizen. He had for many years been suffering intensely from asthma which finally caused his death.
