The funeral of Frank Miller who died at the hospital Sunday night was held from his late home on Battery street yesterday afternoon.

Dr. W. S. Roberts was the officiating clergyman and the bearers were James Miller, Walter Hilton, A. F. Stevens and C. B. Warner. The funeral was attended by a large number of Sons of Veterans and G. A. R. men and three volleys were fired over the grave. Music was furnished by a quartette of ladies and gentlemen.

Among those here to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. William Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Miller of Vergennes and John and Lewis Miller of Holyoke, Mass.

Frank Miller was born on July 11, 1842 in St-Mathias (Pointe-Olivier), Quebec, Canada, and baptized on July 12, 1842 as Francois-Xavier Fontenau from the marriage of Narcisse Fontenau and Clemence Hade. The "dit" name for Fontenau is Meunier which is Miller in English.

Frank was married to Eliza Brusso on March 3, 1867 in Vergennes. She is buried in Athol, Mass. (she died in 1922 in Glenn Falls, NY).
