Remarks: Living in New Haven, CT according to the Census records of 1900. Wife, Lydia, died in 1905 and is buried in West Leyden, MA (Find a Grave 86339694). There is no grave marker for him with Lydia. Daughter, Effie, who died 10/2/1918 (also a resident of New Haven, CT) is also buried in West Leyden Cemetery. To date we have no confirmation that he is buried at West Leyden, but it is very likely as close family members were buried there before and after his death. See Benedict's Army Life in Virginia
