Obituary
FROM THE 6TH REGIMENT
FROM A CAMP NEAR WARRENTON, VA., JULY 21, 1863
EXCERPT -- But with sweet victory we had to mourn the loss of two noble soldiers of Co. D, both being killed instantly shot through the head by a minnie ball. One was Sargeant Moses Abbott, from Troy, and the other was Geo. Partridge, of Glover. They were both faithful soldiers, ever ready to perform their duties, and do it cheerfully, and they will ever be remembered and mourned by the members of their companies. O. T. Stiles
