Obituary

Post Brooks -- The following Resolutions were passed by Brooks Post, No. 13, G.A.R., Sept. 26, 1876.
WHEREAS, Hiram Atkins, editor of the Argus and Patriot, published in his Black List, the name of our dead Comrade, Arthur M. Pearson, and this the Wednesday after his death and burial.
RESOLVED -- That we as Comrades of Brooks Post, G. A. R. do condemn this brutal and unjust black mailing of the memory of a dead Comrade.
RESOLVED -- That we as Comrades regard it as a duty to look with scorn and contempt, upon a man, dead in all sense of Honor, who insulted the widow and the fatherless.
RESOLVED -- That a copy of these Resolutions be ordered to be published in the WATCHMAN and STATE JOURNAL and GREEN MOUNTAIN FREEMAN.
