Solon D. Pearsons

THE CALEDONIAN: JANUARY 29, 1863

Solon D. Pearsons, a member of Ayer's battery, died at his father's redidence in Irasburg, on last Saturday, aged 25 years. He has been sick ever since the seven days fight, and the most of the time in the hospital at Baltimore. He was first taken with the typhoid fever, suffered three relapses, and which terminated in chronic diarrhea, from which he never recovered. He first enlisted in Co. B., 3d Regiment under captain west. He was a noble soldier and did his duty without a murmur.
