Jasper Perkins, aged 75 years, committed suicide by hanging Wednesday, Dec, 11, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. E. Ayer, at Bridgewater Village. He had tried several times before to end his life, and had been closely watched, but that night he took advantage of the temporary absence of the members of the family, and went to the barn, where he spread a blanket on the floor of a stall, and hanged himself to a harness hook.
