Obituary

G. W. Pettie, a former resident of Greensboro died at his home in Jericho, Thursday, aged 76 years and his remains were brought here for burial, Saturday. The funeral was held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Aldin Perrin, Saturday afternoon. Mr. Pettie was a veteran of the civil war, enlisting at Greensboro in 1862 as a member of Company I, 15th regiment, and served until the regiment was mustered out of service.
