Obituary

Hiram D. Potter died at the soldiers' home hospital in Bennington last week. He was 77 years of age and death was caused by a general breaking down of the system. He served in Co. F, 5th Vermont volunteers, enlisting from Monkton. He was first admitted to the home September 22, 1889, from Bennington and had been on frequent furloughs since. His is the 126th death at the home.
