Frank Rhieu left Vermont after the war and settled in Spencer, Massachusetts. He married Mary E. Rhieu on Dec. 10, 1864 and had two children, Hattie Rhieu and Frank Criton Rhieu. He was married for the second time to Cora Augusta Houghton in Southbridge, Ma. on May 21, 1890. He had two children from that marriage, Cora Elzina Rhieu and Davis Frank Rhieu
