Burial of Joseph Rooney
The body of Joseph Rooney, formerly of this town, was brought here from Albany, N. Y., Monday afternoon for burial in St. Mary's cemetery. He is survived by four sons, Alonzo, Henry, John and Lawrence , all of Albany. Mr. Rooney was a Civil war veteran, having served in company B, 5th Vermont regiment, and was wounded May 4, 1864, from which he never fully recovered. The body was accompanied by his sons, Henry and Lawrence.
