April 11, 1900

Peter Rose, 82 years of age, died in the Soldiers' Home hospital last Wednesday, from heart failure caused by old age. He served in Co. H, Second Vermont Volunteers and was admitted from Montpelier in April 1894. His death was 112 at the home since it first started.
