Obituary

ESSEX JUNCTION

Death of Willard Sheldon at Home of His Son in Westford

Willard Sheldon died Monday at midnight at the home of his son, William, in Westford. Mr. Sheldon went from his home in this village last Thursday to assist his son in his farm work. Monday forenoon he was a t work but on going to the house at noon complained of a severe stomach trouble. Medical aid was summoned but was of no avail. Death is said to have been caused by cancerous affection. He had for the past four years suffered from a stomach trouble which it seems baffled the skill of the physicians who attended him. Mr. Sheldon was 68 years old. He is survived by his wife and two sons, William of Westford and John of this place. The remains were brought to his home on Arlington street in this village yesterday afternoon and the funeral will be held there Thursday afternoon at one o'clock.
