Dennis Smith, aged 80 years, a Civil War veteran, died Tuesday at the home of his sister, Miss Ellen Smith of Pittsford. He was born in Pittsford and had always lived there except when serving in the Twelfth Vermont. Besides Miss Smith another sister, Mrs. John Hart, of Rutland, survives him.
