Source: Rutland Daily Herald, April 13, 1923:

Henry A. Taylor, 83, died at the home of his grandson, Kerry Taylor of City park, last evening. He was a Civil war veteran, enlisting at Middlebury with Company C, Seventh Vermont volunteers, and serving two years and 11 months. He is survived by his wife and 11 children.
