William C. Weeks, aged 73, died at his home in the village, Monday, Feb. 24, after a long illness of diabetes. Mr. Weeks was born in Pawlet but came to Dorset about 25 years ago where he has lived since. He was a veteran of the Civil war and one of Dorset's most respected citizens. He leaves many friends to mourn his death. Mr. Weeks is survived by his widow and five sons, Rollin and George of Dorset, Fred of Manchester Depot, Jasper of Chicago and Charles of Fremont, Neb. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Charles Carhart officiating. Burial was in the village cemetery.
