Brandon---John Welch. and old and respected citizen of this town, died very suddenly Wednesday morning. He complained of feeling ill, and rising from his chair went to the bed, and in a few moments was dead.

Mr. Welch was 75 years old, an old soldier, a member of Company B. Vermont volunteers, and served four years in the Civil War. He was also a member of the local post of G. A. R.
