Matthew Whitehill, an aged and respected citizen, died at his home on Morgan Palin, Friday, Oct. 25. Mr. Whitehill had been in poor health for some months, but for a long time kept about his home place, unwilling to give up the care of his business as long as he could be about and finding it hard to yield to others the care and work with which he had dome for so many years. During his last illness he was tenderly cared for by his only son, E. M. Whitehill, and his wife. Funeral services were at his late home Sunday, Oct. 27, Rev. W. W. Cook officiating.
