Civil War Veteran Dies at Manchester

Ora O. Whitman, aged 66 years, who enlisted in Company E, 5th Vt. Rgt., in 1863 three months before he was 14 years old, died at his home in Manchester Friday after an illness of one year of lead poisoning resulting probably from carrying on the business of painter for many years.

He is survived by his wife, three sons and three daughters.
