Increase B. Whitney, late of Co. A, 4th Vt. Regt., aged 80 years, died last week Wednesday at the Soldiers’ Home in Bennington. He enlisted in August, 1861, and served until the close of the war, and was the fourth ex-soldier admitted to the Home, May 25, 1887, from Readsboro. This is death No. 67 at the Home.
